![]() ![]() The city is renowned as a centre of learning and the University of Altdorf is the most highly respected academic institution in the Empire, where lords and princes from many lands come to sit at the feet of Mankind's foremost thinkers. Īside from the Imperial Court, Altdorf houses many of the Empire's other preeminent institutions. There are certain streets that even the city watch avoids at night for fear of finding a dagger stuck between their shoulder blades. Chaos Cultists gather by night, ever-hunted by prowling witch hunters. The wealth passing through Altdorf's gates and the political intrigues that unfold within its courts also support a rotten underbelly, a den for thieves, corrupt city officials and assassins. It is a bustling city with a substantial community of merchants, adventurers, mercenaries and fortune seekers from all across the Old World. Īs the current seat of the Imperial Court, Altdorf supports a flourishing economy, which attracts all kinds of people. As the seat of Emperor Karl Franz, Altdorf is the de facto capital of the Empire, and it has been the Imperial capital since the accession of Wilhelm III, Prince of Altdorf, almost a hundred years ago in the 25th century IC. The next step will be painting, of course.Government Altdorf, known as the City of Spires, is the current capital city of the Empire, the capital of the Electoral Province of Reikland and an independent Imperial principality in its own right. ![]() ![]() So this is my personal project, my vision of a hybrid somewhere between tanks and interceptor flyers. You can imagine I don't want to get into legal trouble with GW over this. I also designed alternate load-outs (they can be swapped) of brightlances, star cannons (classic and updated Wraithknight-versions) and what I name a sun lance and envision as a smaller version of a Wraithknight's sun cannon. The model is equipped with what I call fusion lances. I've worked all May and never sculpted / CAD-designed anything this complex before. It fits the original GW clear plastic canopy it will go with, which was a major challenge and a lot of test-printing, test-fitting and adjusting to get right. Instead, it just sits in there in the printed version straight away. Due to the complexity of such a project, I didn't want to go even further and make the driver modular. So the pilot sits a little more like in a Revenant, Phantom or Venom. However, I updated the cockpit a little bit, Eldar don't have steering wheels anyway with psychic controls. ![]() The classic mask and goggles are the ones I love the most of all Eldar pilots. A fast and agile predator with a certain bite to break necks. The Cheetah is a little bit wider and a bit shorter than a Falcon, and it looks a lot more fragile, slim and speedy. Something fans would recognize fitting the official model line instantly. It combines all these elements to instantly feel Eldar all the way. I combined a lot of elements from the classic Jes Goodwin Falcon, a few updated elements from Jetbikes, Hornets and both the GW and FW fliers. My vision of a super-sonic skimmer to get behind enemy lines quickly. ![]()
